Notes for Episode 2: PwRC+

For the majority of this episode, Corwin and I reference the below set of Excel pages that show wRC+ and the minor calculation I did to find Positional wRC+ (PwRC+). As stated in the episode, the main thing to be taken away from these results (barring catchers) is to show whether a position is generally more offensive or defensive and how that affects a batter's proficiency against his peers at that position. In the case of catchers, it is such an extreme difference that we make the further point that this discrepancy in hitting ability affects trades/free agent signings/acquisitions, as well as lineup construction.
