Notes for Episode 4: MLB Revenues

This episodes show notes aren't really anything fancy. Below I have attached a link and an image showing team values and revenue that I pulled off of Forbes. The highlighted column shows our most important piece of information, revenue. Just after that we have "Adjusted Revenue Average" or whatever overwrought name you want to use that basically serves to show how much (as a percent over 100) above/below average a team's revenue is. Next to that is a column that can be ignored almost entirely. Corwin and I had planned on showing how much a 50 million dollars of payroll would factor into a team's total revenue, but it didn't really come up and can be done very easily on your own. Then, finally, there is WAR purchasing power, simply showing how much WAR (Wins Above Replacement) a team can purchase if they used all of their revenue on purchasing wins. Hope this is helpful and you enjoyed the talk!
