Notes for Episode 40: Exit Velocity Outcomes

As Josh begins his dive into the world of Statcast and it's overwhelming about of data, the guys talk about how exit velocity affects (or appears to affect) errors, double plays, and singles. The idea behind this in it's infancy was that perhaps errors could be cause by especially hard hit balls; that double-plays also need to be hit harder in order for there to be more time to turn both outs of a double-play; and that VERY hard hit balls may be able to get past the defenders all together to achieve a single.
